Georgia Tech's Dr. Chuck Tryon has, for his english 1101 class, given students an assignment to create a personal weblog, and in it, to write about certain other weblogs on the internet.
That's freaking cool.
I found out about this in my daily perusal of Rachel Lucas' blog, since for the first such assignment, her blog was one of the three options the good professor gave to his students. Judging by the number of said students who wrote about her blog, it was also the most popular choice. In my own estimation, this was a virtually foregone conclusion, with Joanne Jacobs a very close second. Sorry Tom.
I hope Dr. Tryon also includes some essayists like Steven Den Beste, Bill Whittle, or Mrs. Du Toit in the course, though I might have an angry lynch mob of GA Tech students after me for saying so.
This is something to keep an eye on.
