So I went on vacation. The day before I left, the computer that hosts both this site, as well as Rising Nucleotides decides to act up. I disabled the program that seemed to be causing the problem, and went away. Little did I know the seeming problem was only a symptom.
So not more than 1 or 2 days after I left, the computer crashed, taking down both sites. Hence the absence of this blog, which I'm sure no one noticed, and Mitch's, which actually has traffic. Sorry about that, Mitch.
I'm pretty sure the problem stemmed from the CPU fans on the system finally completely crapping out, and it hanging from heat, but I'll be keeping a close and careful eye on it, which may mean more downtime in the short term to give it a new lease on life.
